In order to control the dream, the ME MUST believe it’s separate. New MJ Awakening Blog
January 17, 2019

The ME believes that it can control the dream, rather than being a part of, or another aspect of the dream. And thus the ME, by definition, believes/imagines/knows it’s separate from the dream, otherwise how would it be able to influence it?

What observes the dream?

Does that which observes the dream do anything else but observe?

Imagining separation doesn’t make it so, but it does open the door for suffering… new MJ Awakening Blog

house parts

A house may have many parts to it, i.e., door, roof, living room, window, chimney, etc. but it’s all one house. Likewise, Life may appear as having many “parts,” i.e., people, trees, clouds, sky, earth, stars, water, fire, etc., but it’s all Life. There is nothing that is not Life. Separation is an illusion, a mental distinction/concept not supported by reality. Imagining separation doesn’t make it so, but it does open the door for suffering.

The infinite leaves nothing out and so nothing is ever actually separate… new MJ Awakening Blog
March 19, 2017

There is only ever THIS. And THIS looks like… everything! Whatever is showing up, however it’s showing up, is THIS. And what THIS is is indefinable, because it’s everything. The finite cannot describe the infinite and any perspective is by definition finite. Relaxation/peace happens naturally when it’s seen that the miracle of this moment is unimaginable and indefinable, yet is all there ever IS.

Wholeness only appears to be separate so that it can be experienced. The ice cream must appear separate from the tree so that it can be experienced. However, in actuality the infinite leaves nothing out and so nothing is ever actually separate.

“You don’t have a Life, You are LIFE” new MJ Awakening Blog
January 13, 2017

Last Wednesday night at the West LA Satsang, I said, “Right here now, look around you. Whatever is presently happening, all of it… the room, the walls, the bodies sitting in chairs, the air, the light, the sounds, etc. is LIFE happening. And there is only one LIFE, however it is appearing.”

At this point I reached behind me and pulled out from behind my desk a box of LIFE cereal to which I had glued on, in black letters, the word: ‘MY.’ I then tossed it in the middle of the circle and continued, “This being the case, the idea that there is this separate thing called, ‘My Life’ is a complete illusion and the cause of my suffering. It’s an add-on, an overlay, a redundancy that has nothing to do with reality, but only exists in my mind as an idea. And it’s this project of trying to manage, protect and grow this imaginary, separate ‘My Life’ that is the source of all my problems.

Life is all there is and all that is ever happening… and there are not two LIFE’s… as Eckhart Tolle said, ‘You don’t have a life, you are life‘.”

It’s the direct realization of this that makes all the difference.

A House Divided Cannot Stand
January 11, 2013

House Divided

At any moment, you have two minds from which to draw on… your original or God/Spirit/Source/Higher-Self mind, and the diseased ego’s mind. They are nothing alike. One values love, humility and being of service and the other prizes fear, attachment, and greed. One is real and the other is not. Pick ONE… You CANNOT serve two masters (a house divided cannot stand), and yet that is what most of us are trying to do (mostly unconsciously) and thus why we suffer.

The “Blame it on Them” Game Keeps the Dream Going
December 17, 2012

The world is an illusion and something in you knows this. It is a mind projection stemming from a single innocent thought that asked, “What would it be like to be separate from god?” …and POOF!!, the ego was made manifest.

The reality is that it is not possible to be separate from ALL that is, god, source, etc. So, the only way to create the illusion of separation is if you believe there is an actual separate “you,” apart from god.

However, because this is so insanely painful, and you don’t want to deal directly with the pain of the lie (because if you did you’d see that everything you thought you were “working for” was for naught.), you ignore it and instead project it onto “others” around you.

The “blame it on them” game keeps the dream going. That is why forgiveness is the complete answer. If you see that you are already WHOLE and always were, guess how you are going to see me!?

From Separation to ONEness
September 21, 2012

There is no separate you, period. ALL is life. Take a step backward… and another…and another, and another, etc. until there’s absolutely nothing left of “you.”

When that buzzing energetic resistance to THIS MOMENT dies, (like the battery is stone dead) suddenly, instantaneously and effortlessly, all that is left is ONEness.

Valerie has beautifully captured in the words below what I am experiencing. (Yaaaa Synergy!!:) ♥

-Michael Jeffreys

“Falling slowly into oneness, the me I know is melting away..
And with that emerges my true self, the spirit of beginning, of ending, of transformation.

I am leaving all that I think I know myself to be behind.
And embrace the feeling of this moment.. Infinity.”
