THIS is IT. The mystery right in front of you! You can’t miss it because everything is IT. What’s looked for is all there ever IS.

NO STORY CAN CONTAIN YOU
Mistaking yourself for the mind’s story is suffering.
You’re taking yourself to be something you’re not.

Michael Jeffreys “You ALREADY are what You’re Seeking–Full Stop.” 10-21-20 Satsang
SATSANG NOTES
1. It’s One Energy appearing as everything. And everything is both Real AND Unreal: Energy is Real/ALL there IS; what it’s temporarily appearing AS is not. Like a dream, the energy that IS the dream is Real… its contents, the story it seems to be telling/believing, is not. Words too are energy. It’s funny… thoughts are really energy commentating on, and putting into story, energy!
2. That something needs to happen in order to become what you already are is the illusion, is the endless dream of seeking.
3. Where exactly is this ‘me’ going? And once it gets there, what’s it going to get that isn’t already here now?
4. When you wake up in the morning, where is last night’s dream? Where is that whole experience? “I was flying in the Grand canyon.” Right now, where’s the Grand canyon? Where’s the flying? Where’s the me? It’s like it never happened. And that’s what I’m saying each moment is. The moment is, BOOM!, here and gone, here and dead, alive and dead simultaneously. So you can’t do anything with it.
5. What you ALREADY are is whole and complete.
6. Right now, notice where you’re looking from. Notice what’s looking out your eyes. Now, if you got on a plane and went to the Bahamas and got off the plane, THIS would still be there. The scenery would be different, the place, the name, the smells… but what is looking as you got off that plane in the Bahamas, is this right here. And when you got home… it would be the same ‘thing’ looking as when you left. Where you’re looking from never changes. It never moves.
PHYSICAL PAIN SHATTERS OUR ILLUSION OF CONTROL
7. “The cancer is showing you, every moment is showing you, ‘you’ are not in control. And it’s the illusion that you are that creates the suffering. Physical pain doesn’t give a crap about your story. You need a me to suffer. The me takes the suffering, takes the pain personally. It’s not just pain arising, it’s MY PAIN, says the me.” -Michael
“And when the story is running, I’m not even really feeling the pain, I’m feeling the story of the pain. And that’s usually a lot worse, the story of the pain.” -Dan
“The resistance to the pain amplifies the whole thing.” -Faith
“Suffering happens when I think I have control over what I’m trying to do.” -Joanna
AWARENESS IS UNKNOWABLE
8. “A flashlight shines on everything but itself.” -Yun/Ram Dass
“Whatevers aware here/now/always doesn’t have a story. Stories are for a “me” so it can make progress in time. But what you are are is timeless, so no story applies to you. And so stories are just stories. Nothing more.”
-Michael

WHOLENESS HIDING AS EVERYTHING
Depression is just as much IT as Joy.
Confusion is just as much IT as clarity.
Sadness is just as much IT as happiness.
Whatever’s presently arising is IT because there’s only ever been IT.
But not for the illusory me, which seems to have a “mind of its own.”
And yet, when you look for the “me” can you actually find it?
Indeed, when you look for the “mind” can you actually find it?
Q: *WHO is looking?
(*Don’t assume you know. Sit with this.)

SATSANG NOTES
WHAT IS DUALITY? WHATEVER’S APPEARING
WHY THE DREAM CAN NEVER COMPLETELY SATISFY/FULFILL
“There’s nothing more pleasurable than knowing who you are. Therefore, desires are second best.” -Diane Martin
WHY SEEKING DOESN’T WORK
But what if we drop all our ideas of what enough looks like?
MICHAEL: Wholeness is already the case. So getting cancer or not getting cancer has nothing to do with Wholeness.
STEPHAN: Yes, absolutely… yes.
JOYCE: You mentioned earlier that the me is only seeking for positive experiences. Is that because the me’s job is just to keep seeking? And it’s seeking for what’s impossible so it can keep seeking?
MICHAEL: Yes!
JOYCE: Because that’s it’s job.
MICHAEL: Yes!! Perfect. That’s it. The futility of seeking has to hit you. That this thing seeking is just this energy that will continue to seek because that’s what it does. But it’s not you.
And since you’re ALREADY Wholeness, there’s not a damn thing you can do to become whole. That has to hit you. So it doesn’t matter what you do. It doesn’t matter if a desire gets fulfilled or not. Yes, it’s nice if it does, but it makes no difference to Wholeness/All that IS.
BRITTNEY: I’m so focused on form that I’m not able to see the formlessness that’s within all the bodies…”
MICHAEL: Yeah, well what do you think is seeing the form? It’s a wordless recognition.
TOM: What is the best way to stop seeking?
MICHAEL: Take a private with Michael. Just kidding.
It has to hit you that seeking never pans out. Why? Because seeking is in time, and what you are is not. The characters “Tom” and “Michael” are in time, but not what can’t be spoken, the Timeless… “Me” takes itself to be real and so it needs the world to be real so it can get what it wants. But everything is real AND unreal, like a dream. This is what the me has to ignore so it can seek.
So me lives in thought, in the story, in what’s not real. While what’s real is ever-present, but missed because we’re busy attending to the content of thought, i.e., in what’s not happening as Paul Hedderman says.
But once you deeply intuitively realize you’re ALREADY what you seek and have always been!! (which you didn’t realize due to conditioning/identifying as a me, i.e., ignorance), then seeking no longer makes any sense, i.e., it no longer computes. Because THIS is all there ever IS. Thus, seeking stops when it’s seen there is no one there to seek. There’s simply whatever is happening… for no one.
“What’s silently AWARE of every THOUGHT that’s ever appeared is NOT a thought.”
“The moment is as it is. Where is there time for doing?”
-Michael
