Suffering is resisting what is.
And if you are resisting what is, then that is what is…
“Ah, I am in resistance to my resistance!”
Silently noticing this brings peace.

FACEBOOK QUESTION: I find it difficult at times to discern between “what is” and “what appears to be.” Am I not only experiencing my response to “what appears to be,” rather than to “what is”? Any input on how to tell the difference here?
MICHAEL: It’s actually much simpler than that. Whatever is showing up, that’s what is. So, if resistance is showing up, that’s what is. If judgement is showing up, that’s what is. If past memories from childhood are showing up, that’s what is.
The only recommendation here is to NOTICE this. That’s it. Not to try to change anything at all. Let the mind be. Just observe its confusion. And remember to breath… you are already whole and complete, something the mind can never be.
